Will there be anyone on staff who can answer specialized or scientific questions?

We will not have any specialists on staff during the exhibition.

Does the exhibition have any age restrictions?

No, there are no age restrictions.

  • Some exhibits have usage standards such as age restrictions for safety.
How long will I spend at the exhibition?

It will depend on you, but usually about an hour.

Does the exhibition supports multiple languages?

The exhibition labels are displayed in Japanese and English.
In addition, audio guides are available in Japanese, English and Mandarin Chinese.

Do the exhibits have any restrictions?

For safety reasons, some exhibits have age restrictions and other prerequisites for use. For more details, click here.

Can I touch any of the exhibits?

Please do not touch the exhibits.

Entry

Can children attend alone?

Yes, but we strongly encourage children of elementary school age or younger to attend with a parent or guardian.

Is re-entry possible?

No, re-entry is not permitted.

Can I bring in any food or drinks?

Please refrain from eating or drinking in the exhibition area.
Inside the venue, you can find food at the exhibition’s Bishoku Kyoryu no Kitchen (FOOD & DRINK zone) and inside Pacifico Yokohama.
Please refrain from bringing your own food or drink into the exhibition.

May I film or photograph inside the exhibition?

You may take photos in certain areas.
However, please refrain from shooting videos/flash photography, the use of tripods/monopods, etc.

Can I use a wheelchair inside the exhibition?

Wheelchairs are permitted inside the exhibition, but please be aware that we will not have any wheelchairs available to borrow.
Also note that there are no wheelchair-accessible toilets inside the exhibition. Please use the accessible toilets in the lobby.

Can I bring in a baby carriage/stroller/pram?

Yes, baby carriages are permitted.
However, please be aware that you cannot bring your baby carriage into certain areas.
Outside the exhibition, in the lobby (on the right side if you are facing the entrance), you will find a storage area specifically for baby carriages.

  • Storage spaces are limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please take any valuables with you into the exhibition.
Can I bring in a suitcase, duffel bag, or similar luggage?

We expect the exhibition to be crowded, and so we would recommend you use a paid storage locker—some can be found inside Pacifico Yokohama.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Yes. If it is raining, we will provide an umbrella stand with secure storage at the entrance. Please store your umbrella there.
The umbrella stand has limited storage, so use a plastic umbrella bag when needed.
If your umbrella fits inside your purse, backpack, etc., we ask that you put it inside.
If you are holding your umbrella inside the exhibition, please be careful where you swing it.

Are there are any restrictions on bringing writing implements into the exhibition?

No, there are no such restrictions.

Can I enter the exhibition with my pet?

Pets are prohibited inside the exhibition, even if held in a pet carrier.

  • Assistance dogs (guide dogs, hearing dogs) are permitted.
If I arrive after the "last entry" time, can I still be admitted?

We are sorry, but you will not be admitted.

If things get crowded, will you start giving out numbered entry tickets?

We do not plan on doing so, but depending on conditions inside the exhibition, we may give out numbered tickets at certain points.

Amenities

Is there seating inside the exhibition from which you can view the exhibits?

There is no such seating.
No seating available.

Will you hold on to my bags for me?

The exhibition does not have a luggage or coat check.
Pacifico Yokohama does have paid storage lockers, as well as a paid coat/luggage check.

Will you make an announcement about a lost child over the public-address system?

We cannot make such an announcement.
Our staff will help you search for your child, so please ask a staff member if you need assistance.

Do you have first aid rooms?

Pacifico Yokohama does have first aid rooms.
If, inside the exhibition, you suddenly feel ill or hurt yourself, please ask the nearest staff member for assistance.

Do you have AEDs (automated external defibrillators)?

AEDs can be found inside Pacifico Yokohama in the lobbies of Hall B and Hall C.

Do you have lactation rooms, baby changing stations, and so on?

Not inside the exhibition, but there is a "baby rest room" on Floor 2 of the Exhibition Hall, and accessible toilets with baby changing tables on Floors 1 and 2 of the Exhibition Hall.

Is there a place to park my car nearby?

Yes, paid parking spaces can be found nearby.
The Minato Mirai Public Parking Lot is an underground facility with space for 1,154 vehicles.
You could also use the Rinko Park Parking Lot, or the Bus/Large Vehicle Parking Lot.
Many nearby commercial buildings also have parking lots.

Can I purchase tickets in advance?

You can purchase Weekday Tickets and Night Museum Pair Tickets using eplus, Ticket Pia, or Lawson Ticket.
Timed Tickets and Premium Tickets are available through eplus only.

Where can I buy same-day tickets?

From various ticket agencies, or at the ticket booth at the Hall A entrance.
Please be aware that on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and Aug 7 (Sat) – 15 (Sun), you will not be able to purchase timed tickets after the specified time of day.

How late do same-day ticket sales go?

Until 17:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Until 20:00 on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, holidays and 8/7 (Sat) – 8/15 (Sun).
However, sales will end when our designated number of tickets sell out.

Can I refund a same-day ticket?

Once purchased, tickets cannot be exchanged, cancelled, reissued or refunded.

  • If the exhibition must close at the date and time you are scheduled to attend due to updated government Covid-19 regulations, a natural disaster (typhoon, earthquake), or other exceptional event, we will offer either a refund or an exchange in accordance with our "Timed Ticket Exchange Guide."
Can I refund a ticket purchased in advance?

Can I get a refund if some of the exhibits are closed?

The video and interactive portions of the exhibition may be closed without notice.
Please be aware that tickets will not be refunded in this event.

If I lose a ticket purchased in advance, can I have it reissued?

Lost tickets, tickets forgotten at home, etc. cannot be reissued.

I have a Japanese disability ID (shogaisha techo). Does that entitle me to a discount?

We sincerely apologize, but we do not offer a disability ID discount.

Can I redeem vouchers for goods on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays?

Guests can exchange “special gift vouchers” for goods during the exhibition’s operating hours. These products come with Weekday Tickets, so they may only be redeemed on weekdays.

Audio Guides

Where can I rent an audio guide?

The audio guide counter is just inside the entrance to the exhibition. Please tell our staff which guide you would like and make your payment.

Can I pay by credit card? E-money? QR code payment?

We accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club.

Audio guide rentals are limited to one per person per admission.

DinoScience Store (Museum Shop)

Can I enter the DinoScience Store without a ticket?

The DinoScience Store is inside the exhibition, so you need a ticket to access it.

Do you keep all items in stock?
If an item runs out, will you restock it later (during the exhibition’s run)?

To see if an item is in stock at the DinoScience Store, please check the official DinoScience Twitter account. We post updates on sell-outs and restocks when appropriate. These updates are not made in real time—we appreciate your understanding.
Depending on production, it may not be possible to restock some products that sell out.

What methods of payment are accepted at the DinoScience Store?

We accept payment by cash (Japanese yen only) or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay), as well as e-money (iD, QUICPay, prepaid transportation cards, Rakuten Edy, nanaco, WAON) and QR code payment (LINE Pay, PayPay, au PAY, Merpay).

Except from in-person at the exhibition venue, can I purchase goods anywhere else?

You can purchase them on the official DinoScience Online Store.

Can items be shipped from the exhibition?

We do not ship from the DinoScience Store.
If you would like to ship something, Pacifico Yokohama has facilities that offer door-to-door delivery service, please go ahead to those at your needs.

Can I just go straight the DinoScience Store?

You can only enter the DinoScience Store at the end of the exhibition. Depending on crowds, there may be a line to enter the store. Furthermore, re-entry is not permitted. If you want to make a purchase, don’t exit without stopping by the store. You can also visit our official DinoScience Online Store.

Are there any limits on the number of items that can be purchased?

The following products are limited per customer.
- Fossil: Tyrannosaurus Limit 3 per person
- Tote Bags (L.L.Bean) Limit 3 per person
- Kosaka Nao products Limit 5 per person (For T-shirts, limit 5 per pattern in each size)
- Peanuts Plush DinoScience Version Limit 5 per person
In addition, for in-store products, we may place purchase limits without prior notice so that as many customers as possible have the opportunity to purchase items. If you have any questions about purchase limits, please ask the staff in DinoScience store.

Can I return or exchange a product?

We are sorry to say we cannot perform returns or exchanges, except for defective products.

If I receive a damaged or broken item, or a different item from the one I ordered, who can I contact?

It depends on how you purchased the product.

Can I enter the Bishoku no Kyoryu Kitchen without a ticket?

The Bishoku no Kyoryu is inside the exhibition, so you need a ticket to access it.

Where do I buy tickets for the workshop?

You can purchase tickets for any program at the entrance to the Dinosaur Workshop, inside the exhibition.

Is the workshop always open?

Dinosaur Workshop programs are always available during the exhibition’s hours of operation, however some exceptions will be made during special events. For specifics, check the Dinosaur Workshop page, or ask a staff member.

  • Workshop ticket sales may be suspended during times of heavy crowding. We appreciate your understanding.
Can one person do multiple programs?

In order to make these programs available to as many people as possible, one ticket is limited to participation in one program per person.
If you do want to take part in multiple programs, after you finish one program, please purchase another ticket and wait your turn.

Who can I talk to about a lost item?

Items lost on that day will be stored by the DinoScience Event Committee. Please ask a staff member for assistance.
 
At the end of each day, lost items will be transferred to the Pacifico Yokohama Security Office. So for the inquiry, please contact them directly (Tel : 045-221-2127) in the following days.

Our Covid-19
Safety Measures

Guidelines During Your Visit

  • We will take your temperature as you enter the venue. If your temperature is 37.5°C or above, you will not be allowed entry. Please also refrain from attending if you feel unwell or have any symptoms of flu or cold.
  • You must wear a mask at all times inside the venue. Masks are optional for children age 2 and under. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure that children age 3 and up do not feel uncomfortable or unwell as they wear their masks.
  • Please practice physical distancing both prior to entry and inside the venue.
  • Please wash and disinfect your hands thoroughly.
  • We recommend that you follow Kanagawa Prefecture's official Line account for coronavirus alerts, and download the government's Covid-19 Contact-Confirming App (COCOA).

What We Are Doing

  • We take your temperature upon entry.
  • We have set up hand sanitizing stations at various locations around the venue, including the entrance.
  • We conduct regular disinfecting, cleaning and ventilation of the venue.
  • Our staff members receive regular temperature and wellness checks. They wash and disinfect their hands thoroughly, and wear masks at all times.
  • We regulate entry so that the venue never gets too crowded.
  • We have implemented measures to prevent airborne transmission of Covid-19 at ticket kiosks, areas where food & drink are allowed, the museum shop, etc. Cashless payment is recommended. Cash payments will be handled using coin trays to minimize contact.

Please refrain from attending if any of the following apply to you.

  • Fever (temperature of 37.5℃ or above)
  • Cold-like symptoms such as cough or sore throat
  • Fatigue or trouble breathing
  • Loss of smell or taste
  • Recent close contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19
  • A member of your household or anyone you see regularly may currently have Covid-19
  • You have, in the past 14 days, been in a country or region to which Japan has entry restrictions or requires monitoring upon return, or had close contact with anyone who has been in one of these countries or regions.

In addition, please note that the current situation is evolving. A rise in Covid-19 cases, new regulations from the government, or changing circumstances at the venue itself may lead to revision or suspension, without notice, of ticket sales, admissions, or exhibition management policies.
